Our fabrics are tested under conditions up to 10 times more stringent than recommended standards.

All our fabrics are OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certified.
This means they are tested against a wide range of potentially harmful substances, ensuring they are safe for the skin (even the most sensitive).
Beyond the bikini
Excessive chlorine levels are not only damaging to textiles, they can also pose a risk to: health, skin, eyes, respiratory tracts & so much more.
What you need to know:
If your swimsuit shows rapid fading, loss of texture, or unusual deterioration after use in a pool or spa… It is very likely that the chlorine level is abnormally high.
Chlorine is a powerful disinfectant and an oxidizer. When present in excessive amounts, it can damage pigments and textile fibers, even in high-performance fabrics.
Our swimsuits are designed for durability. But when conditions exceed the norm, even the best fabrics have their limits.
Our fabrics are tested according to international chlorine resistance standards at concentrations of up to 20 mg/L & beyond
For comparison, according to the Government of Quebec website, pool and spa water should be tested daily to check the amount of chlorine present and ensure the health of bathers.
Chlorine levels should not exceed the following:
- Pool: 0.8 to 3 mg/L
- Spa: 2 to 3 mg/L
& what if a model doesn't have the swim safe badge?
Although all our fabrics are tested in extreme conditions, some shades may react differently to very high concentrations of chlorine. In an environment where chlorine levels are well balanced, all swimsuits fully retain their color & quality. However, in the presence of abnormally high chlorine levels, color variation may occur more quickly.
This is why we recommend prioritizing these models for:
- Sea & river swimming
- Reliable pool & spa maintenance
This doesn't mean it's fragile; on the contrary, it's designed to withstand normal use. But like all textiles, it has its limits when conditions exceed standards.
